These attacks involve trying many different combinations of passwords until the correct one is found. The log entries show multiple failed attempts with the same username, suggesting the attacker is systematically testing different passwords to gain access.
Even if the keystrokes were captured using a keylogger and the attacker has the password, the act of using them repeatedly is indicative of brute force.
