I thought it was Tokenization at first, but upon further reading I'm going with C. Masking 👀 Masking replaces part of the data with placeholders (e.g., ************1234). Perfect for cases where you need to display only the last four digits while hiding the rest. This matches the exact requirement. Tokenization replaces the card number with a random token stored in a secure vault and is used widely in payment processing, but by itself it doesn’t directly provide the “last four digits visible” requirement (though some implementations allow this).
Data masking is specifically designed to hide portions of sensitive data while allowing limited visibility—like showing only the last four digits of a credit card number. It’s commonly used in customer service interfaces, receipts, and logs where full card numbers aren’t needed but partial visibility is helpful. Example: ************1234
i will go for masking.
