If you use RowCause = Manual When the owner of the record changes, Salesforce will delete all Manual Shares. Therefore, access will be lost. If you create an Apex Sharing Reason For a Custom Object, you can create an Apex Sharing Reason (Setup → Object → Apex Sharing Reasons). Then use: share.RowCause =Schema.MyObject__Share.RowCause.My_Apex_Reason; These shares: ✅ Are not deleted when the owner changes. ✅ Are considered Apex Managed Sharing by Salesforce. This is the mechanism designed for this case.
Correct answer is C. When record owner changes, all share records with 'Manual' rowcause gets deleted. we need to share record with specific reason in apex managed sharing so that share records gets preserved even after owner change.
It's B, if you set a specific rowCause, sharing won't be removed. C is valid but it's a waste of time
