  1. From the Add servers with Azure Arc settings in the Azure portal, generate an installation script. This script is used to onboard your on-premises servers to Azure using Azure Arc. 4. On the on-premises servers, install the Azure Connected Machine agent. This agent connects the servers to Azure Arc, making them manageable as Azure resources. 5. On the on-premises servers, install the Azure Monitor agent. The Azure Monitor agent (AMA) supports data collection rules and is the preferred agent for telemetry and security data collection in modern Defender for Cloud deployments.
