Quality Control Measurements are the documented results of quality control activities that indicate whether project deliverables meet the specified quality requirements or not. Use Control Quality outputs (quality control measurements) to provide objective, verifiable evidence (test results, inspection reports, metrics showing conformance to requirements) directly addressing the customer’s concern about poor quality.
quality control measurements is the most direct and convincing way to assure the customer that quality has been maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
The main point in this question is about the conflict, customer says the deliverables are not of quality and the project manager is certain they meet quality standards. Most likely reason is the customer is not aware of or overlooked the acceptable tolerance or variability. For example, if the material has to be 1 mm thickness, and it is 0.95 mm the customer may say it doesnt meet quality whereas project manager knows that 5% variability range should be accepted as per agreement. In this case it is about showing the customer the tolerance and control limits
