A. This is a straight definition question. Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS) divides each input variable's probability distribution into equal-probability intervals (strata), then takes exactly one sample from each interval — that's the "without replacement" part. No interval gets sampled twice. It's actually an enhanced variant of Monte Carlo simulation. The advantage: it achieves better coverage of the entire probability space with fewer iterations, because it forces the samples to be spread evenly across the distribution rather than relying on random chance.
B – Monte Carlo uses random sampling (with replacement). It doesn't stratify — it just generates thousands of random iterations. It can sample the same region of the distribution multiple times while missing others entirely. C – Impact analysis assesses the consequences of risks or changes. It's not a sampling method at all. D – Linear regression analyzes relationships between variables (correlation, trend lines). Also not a sampling method.
