When Dependabot detects an outdated or vulnerable dependency in a repository, it automatically creates a new branch and opens a Pull Request (PR) containing the updated dependency file (e.g., package.json, pom.xml). Because Dependabot has already created the branch and PR for you, your immediate next action to apply the update to the repository is to review and approve/merge the pull request.
If we just merge the updates without reviewing it creates confilicts at times, Would it best not be to create a branch, review and then commit? Just thinking.
