  Application 2: Blobstorage Cool tier with GRS not General Purpose v2 because General Purpose v2 is refering to standard performance itself. While Blobstorage referring Azure Blob Storage, not Files, nor tables. That's why you can create tables and queues using General Purpose v2. So precisely, at Azure Portal you select for Azure Blob Storage, then select General Purpose v2.

  When I try to create a storage account, the options I have for "Primary service" are: - Azure Blob Storage or Azure Data Lake Storage Gen 2 - Azure Files - Other (tables and queues) If I pick "Azure Blob Storage or Azure Data Lake Storage Gen 2", the "Performance" options are: - Standard: Recommended for most scenarios (general-purpose v2 account) - Premium: Recommended for scenarios that require low latency. So it is confusing because there is an Azure Blob Storage Standard option but it can also be called general-purpose v2
