Answer: Azure Application Gateway v2 Why? VM2 and VM3 are in different Azure regions (East US 2 and West US 2). The application uses HTTPS (Layer 7). The VMs are accessible only through private IP addresses. The VNets are already peered, so private connectivity exists between them. You need automatic failover between VM2 and VM3. Azure Application Gateway v2 can: Perform Layer 7 (HTTP/HTTPS) load balancing. Use health probes to detect when a backend VM is unavailable. Route traffic automatically to the healthy backend. Load balance to backend servers reachable through peered VNets, including those in different regions.
B. Azure Application Gateway v2 VM2 and VM3 are accessed only through private IP addresses. The VMs are in different VNets connected via VNet peering. You need Layer 7 (HTTPS) load balancing with automatic failover between the two VMs. Application Gateway v2 can use private backend pools containing VMs reachable through peered VNets and perform health probes to route traffic only to healthy instances
