The important words are technologies and manage deepfake risk, rather than prevent unauthorised authentication. Blockchain can be used to establish a trusted record of digital identity credentials, transactions or content provenance. Instead of trying to distinguish a convincing fake from a real person by appearance or behaviour, the organisation can verify an independently established digital credential or provenance record.
With Blockchain supporting provenance, we will then know where exactly these "deepfakes" come from so we will know that they are real, or "deepfakes"
Agreed with D, as blockchain is actively being used as a new(ish) way to combat deepfakes. Google it if you don't believe me. :)
