Just replicated it on a lab and this is the result if SW2 has trunk mode ON and there are no ports on the other side. It goes to err-disable due to the etherchannel missconfig feature enabled.

The error message is channel misconfig. I think the answer is in the tricky questions cisco provide. Not sure if there are miss matched protocols if the member ports are shown. It could be not because they use different modes . I will choose A
