C. It enables data forwarding along known routes following a switchover, while the routing protocol reconverges. SSO (Stateful Switchover) works with high-availability features like HSRP by maintaining control plane and forwarding state during a failover between Route Processors (RPs) in the same device. When SSO is enabled: The standby RP is kept fully synchronized with the active RP. During a failure, the standby RP takes over without interrupting packet forwarding. The forwarding plane (CEF table) continues to operate using existing entries.
This question is worded terrible. Is this accurate for D? "on the same device"? Isn't HSRP between two DIFFERENT devices, one active and the other standby? Failover occurs to the standby RP on a DIFFERENT device and then that device becomes active.
