Doing MSS for over 20 plus years and how we always look at it is TCP means we make sure it gets there or "reliable". With UDP it's "if it gets there, it gets there" just like my brother. lol. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. With TCP you KNOW it's making it and if it doesn't, then there isn't any "connection" happening. That's my buddy Tommy, we call him old "reliable".
