Hotspot Solution:

Correct answer: - Report file: LiveConnect - Dataset/semantic model file: Import Why it is correct: The Excel workbooks must be loaded and combined into the semantic model, so the semantic model file uses Import mode; Excel isn’t a DirectQuery source in this scenario. To publish a separate report and semantic model, the report PBIX should connect to the already-published semantic model using a live connection, which Microsoft specifically recommends for separating reports from models. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/guidance/report-separate-from-model
I think the answers are wrong: An excel file cannot load with direct query because it hasn't a query engine. Report has to be in live coonection. Once you have load the semantic model in Fabric, inside the workspace io ca create report in live conncetion for that semnatic model
