CE Stateful failover for IPsec is a feature that allows for a standby device to take over the responsibilities of an active device in the event of a failure. In order for this to happen, certain conditions must be met: -The IPsec configuration that is set up on the active device must be duplicated on the standby device. This includes the IPsec policies, access control lists, and other settings that are required for the IPsec connections to function. -The active and standby devices must run the same version of the Cisco IOS software and must be the same type of device. This is necessary to ensure that the standby device is capable of handling the same IPsec connections as the active device and that any issues can be resolved with the same software version.
